Privacy policy

Short version: your measurements never reach us. Effective October 9, 2026.

Measurements stay on your device

The camera reader, tap counter and calculators run as JavaScript in your browser. When you use the camera, each video frame is shrunk, averaged into three colour values and discarded within milliseconds. No image, video, audio, heart rate, tap timing or age you enter is sent to our server or anyone else. The pages are served with a Content-Security-Policy that allows network connections only back to whatsmypulse.com, and the measuring code makes none. You can confirm this in your browser’s developer tools (Network panel) while a measurement runs.

Saved readings

Pressing “Save to this device” keeps the reading (time, beats per minute and method) in local storage inside your own browser. It stays on that device, we can’t see it, and “Clear saved readings” or clearing your browser data deletes it. If you never press save, nothing is kept.

What our host sees

Like any website, whatsmypulse is delivered by a hosting provider, Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not keep request logs that tie your IP address to the pages you visited, and the calculator API does not record the values sent to it.

Statistics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It loads a small script that reports the page address, the referring site, the browser type and page-load timing, without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. Measurement results are never part of what it reports.

No ads, no selling, no profiling

There are no advertising or social-media scripts, no third-party trackers and no accounts. We do not sell or share personal information, because we don’t collect it.

Children

Nobody’s personal details are gathered here, kids included; the tools are written for teens and adults.

Health data

Some U.S. states have laws about consumer health data. Our separate consumer health data privacy policy answers their questions one by one.

Updates and questions

A revised policy would be posted on this page with its new effective date. Questions: hello@whatsmypulse.com.
